As the giant Comic Con pop culture convention neared its end on Sunday, it was clear that the major movie studios have plenty of costumed crime fighters set for adventures in 2011 and beyond with the Green Lantern, Green Hornet, Thor, Captain America and a team of Avengers making their way to theaters.

"Salt" can't shake "Inception" at box office

According to studio estimates issued on Sunday, "Inception" earned $43.5 million during the three days beginning on Friday, with "Salt" at No. 2 with $36.5 million.

U2 reschedules N.America tour

U2_reschedules_N.America_tour(Reuters) - Irish rock band U2 have rescheduled the dates for the North American leg of their 360 tour for Spring/Summer 2011 with all tickets valid for the new performance dates, their concert promoter said Tuesday.

The North American leg will kick off on May 21 next year at Invesco Field in Denver and end on July 23, 2011 in Minneapolis, music concert company Live Nation Entertainment said. The 2010 European tour will begin on time on August 6, 2010 in Turin.

According to the Daily News, the plans were scrapped after the NYPD told the city's Parks Department to bolster its security efforts.
